Reverie Cake Restorative Scalp Tonic

Prior to buying this product my hair started to fall out more than usual. It came to the point were I was scared to brush it, wash it or even run my fingers through my hair because I would loose a lot. I bought this product about a month ago. On the first week I didn’t notice a big difference. On the second, my hair started to fall less. By the third week I noticed a lot of baby hairs. Now I’m on my fourth week and I have fuller hair and my hair does not fall during a wash, brush and I can run my fingers through my hair. I definitely recommend this product. It’s just a matter of waiting for it to work it’s magic.

I finished the bottle and I’m about to reorder. The tonic smells amazing, I’ve noticed new hair growth and it helps keep my scalp healthy with no dandruff. My scalp is no longer itchy and dry and my hair is falling out less (I use this 2-3x a week).

I wanted to wait to review until I finished the bottle, I use this tonic about 5 days a week after the shower. I wash my hair more often then others because I have fine hair that gets greasy more easily. My hair was a mess after going blonde (balayage). I remember having to put bobby pins on certain parts of my hair to keep it in a pony tail because my hair wouldn’t reach the pony, it was so short. Now after finishing my first bottle, I can see a BIG difference in my hair. Many of my friends have told me that my hair looks healthier and thicker. I do lose way less hair in the shower now, and I can say I don’t need bobby pins for a high pony tail anymore. Most of parts of hair I was struggling with are regrown! Probably about 3 inches. I’m more comfortable with my hair line now and I have seen a difference in my hair overall. I can’t say that it makes all of your hair grow, but where you religious apply it you will probably see growth.

My sister started using it first and recommended this product to me. After using it for couple of times, noticeable baby hairs growing and less hair loss as well. I used to loss my hair quite often, like just by touching my hair or the hair just falls off without reasons, or after washing the hair. But, after using this serum, I’m very amazed with product... less hair loss for sure. The only thing I don’t like about it is the smell. I read some reviewers said it caused them headaches after using it, but it’s not in my case and my sister’s. I highly recommend this product if you experience hair loss or hair thinning.

I have never written a review, but this stuff is too good to keep to myself. I’ve used this product for just over a year & my hair has tripled in thickness & has grown about 3 inches in a year as compared to roughly 1/2 inch per year in years prior. This stuff is magic.

I’ve been using this for 2 weeks and have seen instant volume. I have extremely thin hair, some would even consider me balding. It had gotten to the point where it was just extremely noticeable and I was looking like Angelica’s doll CYNTHIA, from Rugrats. I wanted to cry. I bought this out of desperation before I considered the monthly subscription to Nutrafol (a hair loss supplement). This has given me more volume and healthy scalp, my scalp no longer feels tender and is regaining back some strength. I will be buying again.

This product is a jewel! If you have a dry and irritated scalp, this is for you. I tried so many products before using Cake. This is totally worth the $$$ and will prevent you from buying an army of other products.

I recently got my hair bleached and my scalp was burnt! I had little dried brown itchy spots all over the sides of my head. Coconut oil relieved some of the itching but wouldn’t make the scabs go away. I’ve been using this once a day for FOUR DAYS (in addition to coconut oil) and the scabs are nearly all gone. I also just love the way this smells and may continue using it once or twice a week just to keep my scalp healthy and a little aromatherapy. I will say though that if you don’t like musky earth scents, this will probably bother you but I love it.

I usually use oil based scalp serums which tend to be heavy and can really only be used at night as an overnight scalp treatment. This is waterbased though, and I find it absorbs almost immediately into the scalp and roots and makes my hair feel so full and soft. It was honestly worth the price and a little goes a long way. My new favorite scalp treatment for sure

I am surprised by how well this worked for me. I've been dealing with thinning hair since my thyroid decided to start a rebellion against my medication last year and have not been able to get my hair back to its original state. Even with proper medication I was still experiencing periods of time where my hair would come out in clumps. I decided to try this in an act of desperation, and am very happy with the results. Within a week or two, my hair stopped falling out. Five months in my scalp is heavily populated with baby hairs and my hair is noticeably thicker at the base. As others have said, it's not magic. It took a few weeks to experience results. Based on my experience, I get the impression that this works by improving scalp health to prevent hair from falling out prematurely rather than increasing hair growth.

This is the tonic for you if your scalp is always breaking out or just needs balance without irritation. So many scalp products dry my hair out and this doesn't.

So many great things about this tonic. I have the whole line. The only reason I took one star off is that this tonic doesn't last very long and it could be expensive. I used to use it every day but i cut it to whenever shampoo. Hopefully it would last a little bit longer. I will continue to use this thou. Smells great and it does work

Magic in a Bottle

It works for me. I always had thin hair, and not a lot of them. But I started seeing a lot of hair loss, and just over all my hair looked sad and thinner than usual. My hair brush would be full of hair super fast and I was stressing out, which I think made me lose hair even more! So of course I stared reading all about hair products and supplements. Supplements didn’t work for me, my skin would start breaking out every time I tried something new! So I tried some oils: so messy and you have to wash your hair after using them or it’s all oily and stuff. So I found this brand - Reverie. I got the scalp tonic and leave in conditioner: I use about 5 drops of the tonic on my scalp after I wash my hair and then just massage it all over for a few min, then I use two pumps of the conditioner on the hair. And if I air dry my hair or if I have blow dry it, I would see some extra volume for sure. My hair is not oily after I use it and I don’t have to wash my hair as often as I use to. My hair loss diminished pretty much right away. That already made me happy! It took a little while to start noticing the new hair grows tho, but that’s because it takes a long time for the hair to grow all together. But they’re growing! Tiny baby hair at first, but then more and all over. I can see it and feel it when I run my hands through my hair. My bottle is almost out, and I will have to buy again. I wish it wasn’t so expensive tho, it lasts a while, but still...

Just finished my first bottle of this tonic and I’m absolutely in love! I used to shed a ridiculous amount of hair. I would have full handfuls come out in the shower. I’ve noticed a dramatic reduction in shedding. I really enjoy the scent, but it is fairly strong, so keep that in mind if you dislike herbal smells. I will definitely be buying this again!

It seems my scalp just cant get it together, or so I thought. Its oily but then I wash it and its dry. Then use moisturizing products like shampoo and conditioner and scalp conditioner and my fine long hair looks weighed down and darkened (natural blonde but dark blonde that turns blonder around ear length, so the contrast is a problem as it makes my natural hair look like sloppy balayage instead). I have tried it all over the course of about 15 years of experimenting with my hair care. I have to settle on products that get my hair and scalp squeaky clean and then replenish that moisture after every shower. Just like with my fussy oily skin, high maintenance...what a surprise... this is the stuff that makes me feel fine with that. I cannot see it on my hair, I love how it feels fresh like almost pure water. Its like a moisturizing toner that leaves no residue, and goes with everything. It just makes my scalp happy and comfortable and doesn't get in the way of styling at all. Now I'm hooked and I feel just as weird washing my hair and not using this before using volumizing spray as I do if I forget to moisturize. Now the thought of just skipping a wash if my scalp is dryer seems gross compared to washing my hair and following up with this. I have not purchased dry shampoo in so long, and shampoo every day and have no regrets. I finally understand to treat my scalp like skin even though its under my hair.

I purchased this 5 months ago intending for it to be a one time treat splurge and now it’s a must-have for me. It’s just so soothing on my scalp. Totally eliminates dry itchy winter scalp, stops hair fall, and makes my hair so silky and shiny without being weighed down. I run a few drops through my hair after shower on hair wash days and non wash days alike. I have super sensitive skin/scalp (eczema, rosacea etc) and this doesn’t irritate me at all - only soothes. I love the smell but that’s me! If you hate patchouli you might not like it.

I bought this in the hopes that it would help me re-grow patches of damaged hair from having extensions for ten months. The first time I used it, I still had tape-in extensions which were causing some tension in my scalp. This tonic smells great and definitely soothed my itchy tender scalp. I’ve continued to use it after having the extensions removed, but it doesn’t seem to be helping my hair re-grow any faster. Maybe it’s too early to tell, but it’s hard to justify spending this much on it.

I tried this product out of desperation after losing a lot of hair and the quality of my hair deteriorating due to some health issues. I’ll be honest, I only didn’t try it sooner because I felt it was a little pricey and I couldn’t justify it. A few weeks after using it, my hair stylist (who hadn’t seen me since before I started using it) told me my hair grew so much since she had last seen me and it wasn’t falling out anymore. I wasn’t expecting a miracle from any product, so before she said that I was thinking it was just in my head and I had been optimistic about the condition of my hair improving. But it really has improved my hair! Three months of using it consistently (a full dropper all over my scalp after I get out of the shower on the days I wash my hair), and my hair is growing back (tiny short hairs all over to prove it!), is longer, healthier (softer and shiner), less frizzy, and my scalp doesn’t get oily anymore (it used to be very oily starting the day after washing it and I was using dry shampoo, couldn’t tell you the last time I had to use it), and it looks better than it has in years! I also have been using it with a few pumps of MILK (got the combo pack because it’s a better deal), so I’m not sure if that has also contributed to the healthy change in my hair or not. For reference, I have processed/balayage blonde hair and use heat tools (dryer or curling wand) on it periodically, wash it every couple or few days, but I really do feel like this product has reduced my need to fully style my hair since it looks better now when I just air dry it. This product is worth every penny and I will use it forever and recommend it to everybody I know!

i've been trying for years to grow my hair out, and then my friend recommended this product me (she used it after chopping a foot off her hair and regretting it). While this doesn't really advertise itself as being for hair growth, it's done just that for me. I've been taking biotin, viviscal, prenatal vitamins etc for years and none of those things have helped as much as this has. I don't have issues with dry scalp or dandruff so i can't speak to the effectiveness of this product for those issues. But, if you're looking for something that smells incredible (very essential oil spa like, not at all synthetic sweet smelling), makes your scalp feel good, and will make your hair grow, this it it. Even if it were double the price I'd still be buying it - it's that effective. **been using this for about 3 months now only when i wash my hair (2-3X/week) and I still have lots left.

I have super thick, coarse, dry curly hair that is currently blue and white. I also have intensely dry skin, which also means my scalp is really dry, too. My eyebrows even have dandruff! Not only can I feel a slight cooling sensation when I apply this, but after a few applications, my scalp is noticeably less flaky. I will never, not buy this! P.S. It smells FANTASTIC. I wouldn't say it's feminine or masculine, just amazing.

I have a really itchy scalp and I’ve tried switching my shampoos to more naturals options and washing my hair more often to keep my scalp clean. I initially thought that my scalp was itchy of buildup. Nothing seemed to resolve the issue so when I saw this I gave it a chance and it works. My scalp still itches but not a intensely as before. Now I’m not scratching my head every minute. This scalp tonic had relieved my itch significantly and i love it. I don’t know about hair growth, that will show with time but if you have an itchy scalp and are looking for something that will relieve it give this a shot!

So lovely! I haven't had it long enough to tell if it's doing anything in terms of hair growth but it feels great on my scalp and I definitely see an improvement in my hair. Would buy again for sure!

My hair is growing! I have autoimmune diseases that have caused thinning and receding hairline. I’m only 21 and a woman and I was totally freaking out. Bought this stuff on a whim. It’s been three weeks and I have baby hairs 1/2 inch lower on my scalp! I’m amazed at how well this works. I’m applying twice per day and washing my hair with super gentle shampoo every other day. I also use Reverie’s leave in on my ends.

I don't have any scalp issues, so I was surprised that I liked this product (it was definitely an impulse buy). I have a lot of hair that's fine, frizzy, and wavy. It falls out constantly. I've used this about four times in the last three weeks, and this last week I finally noticed less shedding. It allows me to go longer between washes. I can't attest to the apple cell/hair growth because I've only used it for a short time and my hair is long so I wouldn't notice if it did. A little definitely goes a long way. I found the brand's email found on the website to be incredibly helpful, so if you're unsure I would reach out to them and see what they say ([****]).

This is my first review EVER!! So that right there should say enough this product is amazing!! I was super hesitant to buy beings how it is $72 but after trying literally every product to try and promote new healthy hair growth I FINALLY found this product!! I couldn't be more pleased worth every penny
